Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

People walk in and out of our lives everyday. It takes time to see into a person's soul, spirit, especially so when there are subtle barriers, boundaries. Does one expose their inner self, their compassion, empathies, passions regardless of the intentions of others? Have we, as a people, become so self involved that we fail to consider the effect our actions have on the people we encounter? When we forget the lessons of our past, historical and theological, we will continue to falter in our evolution as a species on this earth.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

At times we believe we control our future.
We expect what we plan is what will be.
The journey of life takes us where we need to be, not where we expect to be.

At times we believe we control our future. We expect what we plan is what will be.The journey of life takes us where we need to be, not where we expect to be.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

Excerpt from "A Letter To Me" by T. Alisha Rogers

It hasn't been easy, no one said it would be.

Examine your faults. Check all things placed in your vault.

Look at them closely,

Determine what really needs to be kept quiet, safe,

And assess what can be, needs to be, let go.

A moment or two, or three, of self reflection is always good, provided one learns from it.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

This mortal life cycles through moments of pleasure and pains. Some days seem not to take a form of an oscillating curve, but the concentric circles of a downward spiral, reminiscent of the journey described in Dante's Inferno. There will, inevitably, be an upswing. The important thing is to see it no matter how small it may seem.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

In this world we live in, more people are becoming more self-centered. The question is does one continue to stand fast on what is considered unconditional love, giving of oneself? Or does it seem more prudent to conform to the masses? What would the great people of history do? Is it in you to do the same?
