Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

A cut takes about 8 days to heal, equally strong before the cut. A broken bone takes at least 8 weeks to heal, maybe more, but may be weaker than it was. How long does it take for a broken heart? how many breaks can it take before it is damaged beyond repair? It belongs to God, loaned to us, why treat it so?

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

Situations present themselves in the most inopportune times. Making light of a situation for self or others never really addresses the level of severity. Acknowledge it, analyze it, confront it, but do not put it aside. Find a path to resolution and have an alternative action if the resolution does not work. Decide what you are willing to accept as the outcome, as long as the fullest effort has been put forth.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

The definition of happiness varies by individual experiences. Spiritual, emotional, monetary, and material possessions are some components of how happiness is achieved. Of those mentioned, the former two are the only ones we have control over. Investing in one's spiritual and emotional strength empowers one to be resilient through external adversity.

Today's Thought by T. Alisha Rogers

At times we believe we control our future.
We expect what we plan is what will be.
The journey of life takes us where we need to be, not where we expect to be.
